JUMOKE HOUSE PROJECT
PROPOSED UNIVERSITY GIRLS’ HOSTEL
Jumoke Kehinde House is a project of the Mothers’ Union of the Anglican Diocese of Jos. It will
be a hostel for female university students.
The land and the property already on it was given to the Anglican Diocese of Jos to be used
by the Mothers’ Union for building Jumoke Kehinde House. This hostel will provide high
quality, secure accommodation for 50 girls who come from outside Jos to study at the
university. It is a Christian foundation in which godly living, a Christian lifestyle and good
character will be expected from all who live there. Parents whose girls come here will have
peace of mind. The students too can relax, feel at home and work at their studies in peace
and safety.
The Foundation Laying Ceremony, when hundreds of women each brought a block or its
equivalent in cash, has already been done. We now encourage all other individuals,
churches, groups and organisations to join us in this project which will make the vulnerability of
our girls a thing of the past.
Let us rise and build Jumoke Kehinde House – together!
